Thanks! Great!
My only criticism is that it could use a hole to hang it up.

Youve got a metal plate with lots of holes in, but you want another hole to hang it up with. :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap:

It's OK, Bob, I've decided to use a magnet.

Mine arrived today so have a heap of thanks Steve :eusa-clap:

I banged a few slightly oversized 18 and 12mm oak rods through and they came out a perfect match for their respective auger bits. My Lie-Nielson plate (which only does 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16mm) is now on the bay and sitting at more than I paid for it with days still to go :eusa-dance:

I feel like I need to get in seeing all these happy customers

Got a project in mind, not sure if it’ll work for it but I’ve got bed builds coming up which I fancy using dowels on.

Anyone who's already requested a plate will get one at the original price.

The price I originally gave was off the top of my head, and was fine for doing a couple - but when it comes to doing more I'm not really covering costs.

Each plate takes about 30 minutes to make and uses 3 different cutters. Tool wear is probably the biggest cost - I seriously underestimated how hard hot-rolled steel is on tooling. Add in materials, electric blah blah.... well, I'm sure you get the idea.

If anyone else would like one it's going to be £15+£4.80p&p

Sorry folks.

Just received mine and I am really pleased with it. Still worth it even at the higher price.

Thanks Steve.

Used mine in anger over the weekend to make some 7mm dowels in oak to plug some counterbored screw holes. Worked like a treat and very quick and easy to achieve a good result.

Thanks for letting me know folks :)

Apologies if the engraving was a bit less than perfect on a couple. I was trying to get them finished on Friday afternoon, my engraving bit was coming to the end of it's life and I didn't have a spare.

Hope they make you all happy though :D

Mine arrived this morning, from Peri:

I'm really pleased - there’s a nice sharp edge on the top, and he's bevelled the back, so stock passes through easily. AND he has included a better range of sizes than the commercial ones I have seen. And it is easily thick enough for my needs.

I wanted to show it off, hence the rushed picture, but I hope to test it out over the week-end. Thanks, Peri I think it will get a lot of use!

Must admit, as an early adopter :D I have used this excellent plate far more than I thought I would. At the weekend I knocked out about 140 oak plugs for a mate. No bother.
