Yes he is a strange chap. For someone so fixated with self sufficiency he has little idea about how some quite basic things work.

He laboured the point about self adjusting feed rate on the saw mill when it is obvious to advance the log a controlled amount per cut.

Nearly all wind driven mills have automated speed control by adjusting the sails so strange that that mill had to stop and manually adjust the sails.

I went through a phase of watching his videos but they became very laboured and he would skate over detail just when it was of interest to me. When he started pushing his religious views quite hard was the last straw for me. Curiously there was none of that in this clip so maybe I should try him again when I have some time to kill.
