Didn’t put an update on yesterday since I only managed to paint the soffits and stain the final wall so not the most progress to show. So this morning I cracked on and completed the roof and fascias then painted them:

Last big job is to fit the door, a friend of mine was moving house a few weeks back and in his garage he had an old door which he didn’t want so I got it. It’s a stable door which is not a useful feature but it is solid wood and well made if a little tatty.

Sadly I had forgotten I had it when I planned the shed so my door way was a bit wider and a bit shorter so I had to do a bit of fettling. I sanded off all the loose varnish and tested the fit before I finished for the day (I’m also doing child wrangling so progress is slower than hoped). Anyway, tomorrow I hope to fit the door and paint it the same grey as the fascias.

Thanks Malc, appreciated. I was beginning to think I was talking to myself (more than I usually do)...

That deserves a better name than a "shed"

Great job

Thanks all. Still got to stain the trellis and fit the gutter on the end over the log store. Plus the door is a bit twisted so may need to replace it in the future. It’s a friends old front door trimmed down to fit.

Then I just need to fill it with junk and try not to burn it down...

I do really like the look of that door, especially after a freshen-up with some paint!
