• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    What I have fixed today

I noticed a while ago that all of Toolstation’s prices had become comparable or dearer than Screwfix then surprise surprise they started the Toolstation club offering 5% off if I spent over £75 a month,

It’s just Rubio Monocoat peacock green oil on the base Ian, the rest is oiled in their pure (clear) oil. I like their oil plus 2C range when I’m in a rush as I add a bit more of the part b accelerator to the oil so it goes off quickly

My Favourite Sandwich - Yes a lame post.

The fact is the UK doesn’t produce enough milk to satisfy the demand Jim, when you look into the food supply chain the numbers are phenomenal. As for advertising it’s there to fool the gullible, I was recently reading about chicken production the advertising would have you believe they are...

    Unusual winter weather.

Walked up the garden today & noticed tulips poking up  One good thing about this strange weather is the winter flowering clematis are full of flowers Usually by now the frosts have knocked them back.

    Unusual winter weather.

The herbaceous perennials in the garden died back a few weeks ago after we’d had a couple of frosts ❄️ I noticed this weekend the rhubarb & a hardy geranium had thrown up new leaves  The geranium also has a flower bud, most unseasonal.

This true Andy, a chap I used to do work for often said retail prices are purely based on what the seller thinks the market can stand. If an item doesn’t sell at the desired price it can always be discounted.

How much to make these ?

Problem with offering prices is it depends on your overheads, in a well equipped workshop I’d have thought a couple of days would see them made, now what you’d need to charge down sarf for a bloke & his workshop I’ve no idea. Also what I’m seeing more & more is jobs being priced on there...
