• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

No WIP, I'm afraid, but what's there to see? It's only a carving with a frame. There's a little stand for the back with a dry-fit sliding dovetail so that it can flat pack for posting. This is for my daughter's father in law (Nacho) in Spain. He is a musician, and the group he plays with is called The Blackbirds (translated):

I ended up with time to put a water-based lacquer on it, and not have to chuck a sanding sealer on it then put it in the envelope.

Very nice Mike! guess he will love it.

Hope he doesn't get caught by this UK Spain trade war, we just got stung by the tune of €42 for receiving a UK parcel (my son's birthday present) from his grandparents.

Not sure it's a trade war, but there are certainly issues. This will be labeled as a picture, with a value of £0 if they'll allow that, or a nominal £1 otherwise. It was made from scrap and it's clearly home-made, so I don't think there'll be any arguments.

In our case the grandparents declared the exact cost of the present, attached is the document hopefully it will help someone.

Yesterday we received a new phone from China, €0.00 import duty.

Sorry rant over.
