• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Car Dash Cam

I thought I'd share this promotion video.

It's a pal of mine who is a 'litter-picker-upper' and has some brilliant/mad ideas to help our wolrd with growing litter problems. He's actually a cabinet maker who has opted to live a different type of lifestyle.

Anyways, here's one of his promotion videos...

I've just watched my video this morning before taking the houndies out and then going to work, and it's all gone wibbly-wobbly!

Not sure that beanie hat does anything for your street cred, Paul

I've had this hat for about 25 years - it's one of my work hats. I had to once wait for an attraction park to close for the day before retrieving this hat from a water ride :eusa-doh:

I've just found this video in my mate's video uploads. I haven't spoken to him for a while. I think he needs to get out more. I'll give him a tinkle

I'm using a San Disk 32G class 10. It also has what looks like a 'U' with the number '3' in it. Not sure if that's relevant to anything.

That is a fast card. Sandisk are the most frequently faked card too so I hope you didn't buy it from ebay :)

Given the cost of your camera the footage doesn't look too bad to me. HD is a bit misleading though. 1920 pixels wide x 1080 high is full HD. Your upload is only 480 pixels high which is VGA or 'SD'. Did you resize it to upload or have to choose a smaller resolution in the camera settings to get it smoother?

My dashcam does 2560 x 1440 maximum so when shooting 1080p at 60 frames/sec it can do it comfortably.

The power cable is tidier now. I put a 90deg adaptor on the end.

I forgot to mention earlier, Mrs P reckons I look like one of The Wurzels

...and she often looks at me and says... "What on earth am I married to."

Cheers Robert - very cool piece and good info. I might go for it.

Yes, I heard this about fake cards. I recently bought the card from Amazon which I think is pretty safe.

I must say, you made a cracking job installing it into your car.

Well, I'm running a bit late this morning, but it's no bother as I'm sort of working this week in with doggie sitting.

It's another beautiful wall-to-wall sunny day here in Dorset (Mrs P has rain over in West Ireland :| - I guess that's not 'top-of-the-morning!'), so I'm going to drop Betty's roof, secure the dash cam and drive my everyday route to work. You'll later see what I have to put up with everyday; how It's very stressful with all that rush hour traffic, road rage idiots trying to be F1 drivers, women putting on their lippy as they're about to enter your boot etc etc.... :eusa-hand:

But... fear not, I shall be brave and go with it...

:text-bravo:

:eusa-think: I've made a couple of vids; driving from home to work and driving from work to home.

The results on YouTube are very shakey indeed - in fact, they are all over the place (darn bonkers!), although viewable. They are apparently still in editing process which can, again apparently, take days -
:?

Whatever...

Anyways, here they are... two nice short films of driving to work and driving back - both with commentary and in lovely Dorset countryside.

I've been watching quite a bit of Guy Martin stuff recently, the most recent being the Navada race in his Transit van - brilliant. His record breaking 'Wall of Death' was quite something too.

I kind of forgot where he came from and then I reminded myself when I watched this...

WOWWWWWW!!!!!!

These guys are soooooooo talented. Their riding skills are absolutely awesome!

Enjoy and be captured.
