• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

As part of the major redecorating scheme I've agreed to get rid of our DVD collection and my wife has agreed to loose some of her paperbacks too.
The DVDs were housed in this unit I'd made a few years back from Limed Oak:

I would like to copy them to a hard disc to play through a Plex system - can anybody recommend some suitable software please?

Yes but I think its ok to copy as long as you keep the discs - in the loft?

Rod

Yes it's legal so long as you retain the original and do not give out either copy to others for them to copy.

Roger - Yes most things have some kind of DRM but most of these software's contain libraries to 'crack' these...

Not sure of the details but I would think so yes. It allows for a personal backup so long as you retain the original.

I've copied 800 plus so far - not all single DVD's as each episode of a box set counts as 1
My Grandson is copying another batch but his graphics card blew up so no idea what the final total will be? [emoji3]
HB managed all apart from about a dozen that it cannot rip.
Pretty impressive software and it's free.
