• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I'm looking for a Freud blade for my Makita LS0714 mitre saw - for cutting mainly softwood. Many of the blades listed come with part numbers like LP40M 015P - but these type of part numbers don't appear in the catalogue downloaded from Freud's website, nor from older catalogues I've found.

Also Freud's packaging doesn't seem to list tooth type or geometry.

I must be missing something in a major way!

Look at CMT there catalogue shows all you need and in my opinion are better blades

Thanks Misterfish - can see that, but all the Google results are of retailers eg TC Fixings who give another part no, F03FS09718 - described as a Bosch part no (? as the owners of Freud), and a Freud part no of LP40M 015P.

Searching the downloaded Freud catalogue with F03FS09718 does give me a specification for a matching "article number" - yippee. But it gives a "Freud code" of FR13W007H - and describes it as a "circular saw blade for wood". 10 degrees hook.

No mention of LP40M 015P - despite multiple UK retailers advertising this blade number

Since my original post, I've managed to find a Freud catalogue from 2019 in Turkish / English which DOES show the LP40M 015P part no, albeit with a "SAP" of F03FS09713. States 15 degrees positive rake.

Why do they make it so hard to understand what one is buying?! I think I'll give Freud UK a call.......

As an aside, I have found that Freud have a “shop” on Amazon, prices are very reasonable. You need to search using their part number for best results.
