• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. Does anyone know what the differences are between the S-110 and S-111 Dozuki blades? It's really not obvious from the descriptions (linked above).

I bought both of them (along with a Kataba) in a set of 3 folding saws. The S-110 has a rounded tip with teeth going around the corner but other than that the only difference I can find is the name "Super Hard" vs "Universal".

I've been using them both quite a bit this week and have found that the S-111 rips much, much quicker than the S-110, but the teeth look quite similar (although too small for my eyes to really see!) so I'm curious to know why. Dozukis are normally (I think) rip saws, so I would expect them to be similar.
 
Classic Hand tools has the 110 has crosscut and 110 as Rip.

Ah, that's much clearer than workshop heaven, thank you. If the 110 is crosscut then it also explains why it doesn't rip as well as the 111.
