• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Good morning All
Hobbyist woodworker, enjoy spending time occupying my brain with something away from work, looking to retire and move home in the next couple of years, somewhere with enough space to build another workshop, I built a 30' X 24' one at our previous house and now working out of the garage.
Best wishes, Gary.

Welcome Gary
I can imagine how frustrating working out of a garage after previously having a larger space.
I took early retirement nearly 10 years ago and it was the best de-stressing experience.
You have joined the best forum for workshop build write ups and advice that I know of and there are some excellent other knowledge resources here too.
Bob

And I warm welcome from me too.
We love photos around here so don't be shy, old or current projects are always welcome. What sort of woodworking are you doing?
Couple more posts and the spam trap approval system will be out of the way.

Thanks for the welcome,
Bob, I made my old workshop completely wrong from what I see on here, still standing though, I see as I go past the house we left 10 years ago.
Andy, I am currently making a large cold frame/ small greenhouse, but mostly collecting tools and hiding in the garage with the fire on, listening to Radio 4, making sawdust and firewood.
cheers.

Do share some pics of that in our Projects board Gary.

here's one I made for the FIL a few years back - thats him not me :)

That oversized bit of glass on top was supposed to be temporary - but it is still there after at least 11 years

Yo, Junah!

Welcome from Mid-Devon.

Have you tried Radio 4 Extra? Some of the old comedy programmes have me laughing so much I nearly chop my fingers off!

Hi Malcolm
I usually only retune for Ken Bruce's Pop Master on Radio 2
Cheers, Gary
