• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hunted! are looking for participants for the next series. I fancy a challenge!

For those who are unfamiliar with the programme, they had 14 (IIRC) contestants with a limited amount of money to go on the run and escape evasion (in this very highly CCTV populated country) for a period of time. The team hunting them are all professionals - either from counter-terrorist, investigative IT forensic people, a whole host....

21 days is the target IIRC....how would you evade detection. £100k prize split between all those who evade for the time and reach a rendezvous.

And there is the problem - as soon as you set a rendezvous point all the hunters have to really do is sit and wait near that location - the rest is just filler to drag the series out. Going 'off-grid' for 21 days is not a problem, getting to a location known to your hunters is a much harder problem to solve.

I watched the first couple of episodes - seemed to me most people were caught for doing the obvious - phoning home etc and then this was being used to track them. Gave up after this - did any of them get smarter as the series went on? Seem to recall someone just made it, but didn't see how they did it.

Steve

I don't think that the hunters knew where the final rendezvous was. Three people made it. Not convinced going off grid is as easy as you think. Terminal boredom if you are bright would be a challenge.
