• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

new here

I only did a one line intro thinking I had to make a few posts before they were released, so apologies for that.

Now I have to go fill my profile in. Yup, its sunny in Cyprus. Thats why I use the name I have. :D
More later, minor incident at home for me to deal with. Theres been a brushfire somewhere near and woke this morning to find the whole place covered in ash. The pool is going to take some work to be fit for purpose again. :eusa-shifty:

Sorry about the delay in replying. i have not had notifications of replies. i need to get back into the control panel and check settings.

Mike, better late than never :D

SamQ , Cyprus is a little closer to the equator than california, we're more on a level with Florida. Same long summer, same high humidity indoors. We had rain in May, we usually get some more in october, but not guaranteed, so brush fires this time of year are very common and a danger to us as we are on the very edge of a village with fields right up to the house.

Not doing much woodworking at the moment. my family are visiting from England, so it will be september before I can work on my projects again. I'm off to the airport now to collect some more of them.

Got it. But I could not for the life of me find a "reply" button so I had to start another PM. :?:

ARGHHHHH! I spent a half hour typing a detailed reply and its not showing in any pm box. Is there a limit before you can use it? If so it would have been nice to have a notification.

If you're writing a long reply I would advise drafting it in notepad or word so you don't lost it, then paste into the forum window when happy.
