• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Finally completed my bedroom set, after a LOT of interruptions, and EVEN MORE correcting of mistakes and errors along the way. :shock:

I'm pleased with it, its the best I can do and as long as you dont attack it with scientific measuring implements it passes muster. :eusa-whistle: :eusa-dance:

I already showed the 2 picket fence oak headboards, now I have a matching two drawer bedside set and a 4 drawer dresser 8-)

I give up. I've rotated and saved that pic 4 times and the site is still showing it sideways. :eusa-doh:
 
Well done Bob. You're getting the hang of this.
 
There are (of course) several minor errors, which would upset a visiting carpenter (dont get any of those :eusa-dance: ) but I did make a mistake in cutting the drawer fronts narrower than they should be, Its possible to see the runners if you look closely at the sides of the fronts.
I cant decide whether to leave well alone, or add some kind of lipping to hide the gap.

Leave it a while to see how much it bothers you. If it does, lipping would be a good solution. You'd have to do it on both units of course!

yes, it is rather nice. don't you dare touch that gap, it's fine as is (and still tighter than most mass produced stuff)

I dont know why the site does that, although that picture was taken portrait rather than landscape. But I did take it with an SLR rather than a phonecam and I did rotate and save on my computer before resubmitting it.

Having to match both sets of drawers is putting me off of lipping them. Thats a lot of fiddly work for furniture thats is in a guest room that only gets used about 6 weeks of each year, and then mostly by grandchildren. I think I will leave well alone.
I spaced the drawers using tile spacers. 2 crosses equals 4 mm.
