• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Evening all

Yesterday we harvested a load of blueberries from the 2 bushes we have in the garden and today the kids wanted to make muffins, so here's what we started with…

Skip a couple of hours of fannying around in the kitchen (baking with kids is a nightmare! ;) ) and this is what we came out with…

Very tasty indeed, and now have a rack of 18 because I massively over made the mix! Not to worry, we have guests this weekend so they'll all get chomped, and i've sent 4 round to the neighbours too and got a bag of cooking apples in return, so I know what I'll be making for put on Sunday or Monday! :)

Cheers
Mark

Nice. "Star baker" is what I reckon Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry would say! A "good bake".

Mmmm..I'm not so sure. I think we need a tasting session :eusa-pray:

Loverly

Now matter how much mess (it can always be cleaned up) they make it is good to have the kids make something in the kitchen. Always a joy to us when ours have friends round who really enjoy the chance to bake their owns cakes as they do not get the opportunity at home.

I've never grown blueberries, might have to give it a go. We have a few blackcurrant and redcurrants bushes though which provide a few kilos for he freezer. These then get added to various crumbles, cakes and puddings during the year.
