Old Oak
Finally got around to installing oak floor in the first room. As part of that I did some tests with Liberon wax stick and Osmo ebony wood filler. Chose the Liberon to do the knot filling, which is now done and I’m happy with the result.
The Osmo filler was harder to control since it was pretty easy to leave traces of it around the knot and I wouldn’t be comfortable using it without masking the area first (I didn’t mask when using the Liberon wax stick), but the primary reason for not using it was how it looked: it had a slightly blue tinge to it that made it look smoky. Has anyone else used Osmo ebony wood filler and noticed that?
