Evening gents, my bandsaw is playing up, it’s switch was replaced many years ago by the look of it with a Crabtree unit. However over last 3 months i’ve had to strip it down 3 times and clean up the slide/contactor. To me it seems that the coil is overheating and distorting the contactor housing which then either traps it so it won’t switch off or means once its cooled it won’t slide back in next time i want to use it.
So a new switch assembly is needed, whilst i’m ok with pulling things apart and following instructions i’m at a loss when it comes to knowing what i need for a replacement ( the existing switch is no longer available). Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction, to me it looks as though toolstation or screwfix have the right sort of thing and that’d be convenient if possible, but no worries if not.
It’s a 240v machine.
Many thanks phil
