• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

This must be Ted Cole’s tool chest; next time I’m in that neck o’the woods, Ted has mentioned that I can have a look at it. Ted’s also infamous for his cake; best not to try a lump though :lol: - Rob

That's the one. It's such an unusual and special chest it's had a book written about it. Here's a teaser photo - all WH2 members will be very welcome.

We’re going up to Le Smoke next month and we always call into the V&A so I’ll get my copy on the day. Later on I’m also going to Bristol (primarily Bristol Design) but I’ll make arrangements to call in into see Ted and have a look at the tool chest and also get my copy of his book autographed - Rob

The trouble is, big booksellers subscribe to a data service from Nielsens, who run the ISBN system in many countries. So when a new title is due, Waterstones, Amazon etc get the title, author, picture, price etc in advance, whether or not they have made any arrangements for getting copies from the publisher.

A tiny publisher like TATHS relies on volunteers and isn't set up to supply them.

You'll probably get an email from Waterstones saying sorry but they can't supply.

Rob, I think wires have got crossed. The V&A have bought a copy for their internal library but they won't have it in their gift shop.

Are you sure about that Andy? I’ve just checked Tedster’s post on Faffbook and he seems to think it’s going to be stocked - Rob
 
I don't do Facebook but I have checked with Ted. Ordering from TATHS is the only way to buy a copy. (It's pretty painless, all online, PayPal or credit card.)
