This is a list of video creators that I like.
The list may be of use to other beginners with an interest in hand tools and japanese joinery.

These people cover fundamentals of working with hand tools:

Paul Sellers
Matt Estlea
The English Woodworker
David Charlesworth
Roy Underhill, The Woodwright's Shop

These people demonstrate woodworking inspired by Japanese practices:

Mr Chickadee
H Carpenter
Dorian Bracht
Dylan Iwakuni
Shoyan Japanese Carpenter

These people use power tools, but show details of their projects that are interesting to me:

Bradshaw Joinery
New Yorkshire Workshop
Carl Rogers

Surely there’s an omission there as you seem to have forgotten Workshop essentials our own Steve Maskery :eusa-think: :D

Other than Steve the only other I subscribe to is another forum member Carpentry Joinery & Cabinetmaking

The chaps doing the Japanese joinery might be worth a swift peek (only a swift peek mind) but you've missed off the late David Charlesworth. If you need to learn a concise and precise way of doing this woodmangling lark using hand tools, look no further. The rest appear to be the usual UToob fare  from which I usually stay well away - Rob

Doug, I'm sure your suggestions are good, but they're a little too electricity based for me at the moment.

Rob, I left off Charlesworth because I'd only seen one video. I've since watched a couple more and added him to the list.

Pete, you get me. I like both Underhill and Shoyan.

That looks useful, Roger. I definitely need to learn something about finishing.
