Kettle BBQs

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Worked a treat last night.

Thanks to Adrian for the heads up on the chimney starter. Filled it it with briquettes which lasted all night.
I used briquettes for the first time ever. They do seem less messy and burn for helluva long time. Dunno how processed they are nor if they effect the flavour. It was just bangers last night so couldn't tell.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

Generally not if you let them burn to a white ash covering.
Get some smoker chips.

Nice looking girls 8-)

I realise you might be a bit 'thickish' but 'block' is going a bit far

Oh, that's priceless. What's your present going to be? A bottle of perfume? Spa day?

Well she loves it, truely. She also got a bag of charcoal, lighters, and a chimney starter. She is genuinely very pleased.

Well I was going to observe that I didn't know you were married to Meryl Streep, but as you seem to be equally pleased with a Fitbit and you all apparently think it's a good idea to sit outside at night in December, clearly you're all just insane. Must be the French water.

Glad she liked it.

Looks good Andy, I love a good sit out on a cold night around a burner.

Adrian - who is Nadiya?

I’d better be careful how I answer that. :)

Great modification, Andy, and I'm glad it was well received.

Thanks Kirk,
Over your way Weber sell a low level kettle, The Jumbo Joe that would have saved me the bother of the modifications and it would have been easier to carry. For some reason, that they would not explain to me, they do not sell the Jumbo Joe anywhere in Europe.

Just noticed this Phil,

Despite best intentions the Pizza stone has yet to find it's way here. I've never made anything that involved cutting metal like that so that cutter would be a challenge. One to ponder. :eusa-think:
