• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Daughters Kitchen final stages Handles and floor now done.

Very smart. Why a radiator cover though? Simple rail above ideal for drying damp tea towels.
Thank you Andy, I think they just want to cover the radiator that's all, something simple like in the photo. Radiator Cover.JPG

Very impressive, nice detail leaving a reveal above the uppers and ceiling. Plenty of receptacles, you can never have too many.
I guess you are waiting for the cook top back splash panel.
Very nice sink!

Impressive! Judging from the photos that kitchen has a very nice feel about it.
Thank you

The splashback is clear glass which I fit then took down as the back wall is being painting behind it. It was originally going to be a handle less kitchen but when I floated that idea on here it was suggested it was not the best approach so handles were fit. The ceilings are about 15mm out of level so I finished the units off the ceiling.

Meccarroll, wondering if the style of your sink is available is say a double or a sink and a half.
Thinking ahead for when I change our counters, Thanks.

My Daughter ordered the sink using my Howdens account (UK), lots of variations available but in this case due to the double bin underneath the sink she had to have a single sink (A double bin would have clashed under a double sink). She has looked on the Net and there are lots of accessories that can be purchased to act as a middle drainer if your single sink is wide enough (which hers is). I'll try to fish out the info on her sink tomorrow, but have a busy day on so may be later in the day. Mark

Thanks , no problem not in a hurry. Maybe that brand is available here.

Sorry it took me so long to get back Duke, I've been a bit busy. Anyway the sink is a composite made from quarts and acrylic, you can also obtain the same in granite.

My daughter wanted a double bin unit under the sink which was a very tight to fit under the sink unit. A one and a half bowl sink unit would have been nice but the half bowl would have collided with the pull out bin unit underneath so she had to go for a single sink... compromises!
