• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Bees like the Blue False Indigo.

They are popping up everywhere around here. Many people even consider them to be weeds. I don't. Me and my wife love them. But we always have a bit of a sad feeling when we see them. One of our chickens managed to get to one of them through the fence of the coop and ate it. Well, it didn't enjoy its new treat for long...

Yeah indeed. She was extremely friendly and good-natured. She even had a habit to go and sit on my wife's hand when she came in the coop to feed her some treats. She would pick up the treats from her hand and then flap her wings to land on her hand. You should have seen my wife's eyes the first time that happened. I still miss those chickens. But with all our travelling between 2 countries we just couldn't take proper care of them anymore. So, when the last one died (of old age) we didn't take new chickens anymore.

About 20 years ago some of our goats ate Trout Lily which is poison to livestock, domestic animals and wildlife. Lets just say the barn was a vomitorium. And an expensive vet visit.
