Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. Yes, I've had to do this a number of times....I'm assuming you mean a difference in the height of the outlet of the pan, compared with the height of the 100mm waste pipe connection?
If so, you can buy offset pan connectors with various degrees of offset & angles.
McAlpine offer one of the widest ranges and I personally think they are still one of the best quality available.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I have two problems. First the existing soil pipe connection is slightly higher than normal and also slopes …luckily in the right direction. Pretty sure that has been resolved by shortening the length so that the point of ‘contact’ with the pan is now the right height.
The second is intractable and is the cold feed for the cistern’s proximity to the soil pipe connection. This pipe is not possible to shift without rebuilding the house as there is no easy or simple access to the other side to reroute it. The ‘fix’ is to use an offset connector (current plan albeit not going well) but rotated 90 degrees to shift the pan enough to the left of the soil pipe connection so as to miss the cold feed.
Trouble is getting the pan to connect ‘blind’. Bit like the children’s game….Pinning the tail on the donkey…only this time I feel like the ass.

Are flexible expandable soil pipes of no use?

Me too. A potential for future issues, corrugated pipe doesn't fare well with soit waste despite what the manufacturers would have you believe. I've witnessed one that had been in 12 months and it wasn't a pretty sight.
