• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    New to me AI scam

Is that don’t cut them off even if you’ve not answered & let the phone ring out? I was told answering or dropping the call quickly tells them the number is live so they sell on the number 🤷‍♂️

It looks very similar @toolsntat, would you be able to bring it along to the extravaganza? Also if you’ve still got any of those bandsaw blades for sale I’d be interested in buying some more off you. Thanks again Andy.

    Kitchen cabinet door thickness

Simon of Oryx design used to buy a lot of his sheet material ready cut to size, I’ve started doing this in-fact I’m off to Boughton today to pick up an order I placed last week. It’s so much easier to have someone else do the donkey work, they have the machinery for the job & the cost is less...

Annoyingly my compass plane decided to throw itself off the bench & even though it landed on an extractor hose which was on rubber matting the frog has broken Now this has sentimental value so I’d really like to repair it & whilst I know it’s a very long shot I wondered if anyone has a...

    What I have fixed today

Fixing someone’s 🐔-up, I’m fitting a media wall at the mo that my customer supplied, neither he or the media wall supplier considered how the under shelf light fittings & wiring was going to be concealed. Also the shelves are 900mm wide & are showing signs of drooping before anything is placed...

    What I have fixed today

You have my sympathy Andy, our combi started leaking from the plate heat exchanger just before Xmas, it was 17 years old & the exchanger was right at the back of the boiler so easiest way to get to it was to take the boiler off the wall  by the time I got it stripped down I figured it...

    Unusual winter weather.

Never heard of a Horseshoe hare but a quick search revealed an interesting critter, the change in the colour of its fur in winter & summer just shows how incredible nature can be. 🐇

    Simple door

It just looks wrong, with that style of air vent it looks like it’s been hung the wrong way round. The top of the radiator is above the window sill which looks odd. The TRV is almost at floor board level & tucked under the radiator so inaccessible & not an ideal position for its effective...

    Unusual winter weather.

Hope it’s not too bad for you Scott. It’s been a sunny afternoon here first for a few days after continuous rain, took the opportunity to clean the van out & get rid of a load of pallets but it’s dropped very cold now & I’m glad to be inside though it’s nothing like -43 thank goodness

    Now now chaps!

I always believed them to be territorial but went to measure a bay window in early December & there were at least half a dozen if not more Robins all foraging in the lawn outside the bay seemingly all content with one another. I commented about it to the customer & she said there were always...
