• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I will never buy another Magnet kitchen

Ive put an albeit simple row of units in the utility room at the current residence I ordered the doors on ebay(superb) and got a 3m lenghth of worktop locally. I will never buy another Magnet kitchen

Outstanding family from Zimbabwe. We advertised on Rightmove and had to take the ad down after a week with over fifty applicants and very quickly got it down to three (some people beggar belief) Accidents do happen but instead of finding damage I find professional repairs. I reciprocate by...

I will never buy another Magnet kitchen

I got my last one from DIY Kitchens The accuracy and finish was good but I got random size changes to a couple of units and the orientation of a corner unit was reversed. Given the lead time of a replacement and the fact I needed tenants in asap I was luckily able to rearrange the layout. Eight...

Id take you on head to head regarding the tablesaw Roger The einhell I recently got rid of would win hands down in any cheap and nasty competition. Theres a short non fiction book I could write about it. If I wasnt so traumatised. I would Imagine most of the regulars here would consider the...

Modifying roof trusses to increase height for a two-post lift

Our local HGV Test Centre had a pit with forced ventilation due to the toxic gases that sink down into it. The old examiner would be tapping away with a toffee hammer for a couple of hours then come back to the waiting room and give you a handful of wheelnuts See you next week then.

    No big surprise

I had the 1970s extension cavity walls insulated under the gov scheme a few years back. I had an overwhelming choice of one installer who sent a pimply youth to survey. I had to point out wall by wall as he couldnt grasp the reason why half timbered walls didnt need doing. I told him the actual...

Saying goodbye to some mature trees = sad but necessary.

Ive another! Similar situation. We had let the place out a couple of years back and I was phoned by the tenant that there was a "gang with chainsaws hacking at the trees down the drive."
