3 Phase machine light.

Hello All,
I have just picked up a 3 phase EDL machine light to fix onto the bandsaw I am working on, can this be wired into the bandsaw and be powered from my Transwave converter?
The transformer is rated - Pri Volts 346/440. Sec Volts 25.

Yes you can use it with a converter. ideally wire it to the two phases that come directly from the transformer in the converter ( in the same way as all control gear should use these two phases as well)

The manual should tell you which phases these are. I think the transwave convention is L1 and L3 with L2 being the artificial phase to be avoided as the voltage control can be poor on this phase.

Hello Bob,

That is good news, when I picked it up I assumed that all 3 wires would have to be connected but on inspection it only has 2 connection points , that now makes sense.
