We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Hello Chaps,

Could do with some help here if anyone knows anything about Interactive Services via mobile phones.

My wife's mobile phone bill shows 20 messages have been sent to the number '60095 Multimedia Services sent' over a period of 4 months during last year. Some have been sent one after each other at various times during a day - 6 in one instance, and the others have been sent over a scattered period. Each text has cost nothing and her monthly phone bills haven't cost anymore either.

Now here's the strange bit... My wife says she knows nothing about these messages whatsoever. I've telephoned the provider (Orange) and I've been told the number is connected to a company called '3rd Degree Ltd'. It works out this company is the 'middle-man' between the sender and recipient of the messages. The Orange rep also said the number is for an Interactive Service, but he doesn't know who or what the Interactive Service is.

If anyone could shed any light on this mysterious situation, I will be very grateful.

After looking at a few other sites, and twitter, I think that's what it is. It's a method of them making money out of the texts. It's the price of a single text but sent in batches as it gets round the service providers free text packages.

The phone is a non smart Blackberry and she doesn't use Wi-Fi.

We know the number (60095) is for Interactive Services and not competitions and if it is a money making scam of any kind, there's no cost involved. The bill next to each 'Multimedia Services Sent' reads 0.00. I had a look at the link (cheers) and this chap has been billed 0.10p per text. If this was beside Sue's text messages, I would think similar, but the fact there isn't, I don't get it. Unless I'm missing something. We're going to phone 'The 3rd Degree Ltd' on Monday who will apparently disclose who the number is attached to.

Cutting a long story short and without the info, I've wondered if the number is attached to a mobile phone dating site which is obviously making Sue feel very anxious.

Hope not, and Orange said they will give the information. If they don't I shall take this further.

Also, is there anyway of finding out who owned this number - 07500 834033

The number is no longer in use.
