I wrote this up a few weeks back for the test version of the new woodhaven and so will re-post here.
There has been some further progress but not had the workshop tidy enough to take new photos so I'll continue the thread later.

I've just done the first mock up of my sliding carriage for my table saw. It has been months in the planing and drawing and in the last few weeks actually cutting metal and then welding it into the positions I need.
So you can see what I'm up to I'll post the 'first trial assembly photo' first and then look at some of the parts.

Ignore the clamps and the wooden prop but here is the table frame donated by Jason Fisher (WUK) about 3 years ago. This will eventually be a little higher with the top flush with the saw table itself.
This will be bolted to a carriage that runs on a hardened and ground steel guide rail seen running from the left of the next photo to the centre about half way up.

The other end of the table is supported by a telescopic arm running left -right in this photo

This is the carriage and has 4 ball races at each end spaced at 12 oclock, 4 and 8 oclock around the guide rail.

Each ballrace is mounted on an eccentric bush to enable the carriage position and fit to be adjusted.

When in use the carriage runs the length of the guide (2 metres) at this angle (table not shown)

and when not needed, will rotate around the guide bar to allow the table to hang down vertically out of the way. Again, the table is not shown or to be more precise, I forgot to take a photo of it attached!!

Currently the wood workshop has been converted to the welding shop for this stage of the project. There is a bit more welding to do and then I can start on the new out feed table which will have a router set into it instead of the separate table it is now in. Although both are at the same height nominally, as I mover the current router table around, the levels move slightly (error in the floor I guess) and long routing jobs tend to hit the saw table at some stage leaving a tell-tale in the workpiece. This cannot happen with an integrated router and will give me a little extra room too.
So far so good, the carriage runs smoothly and does not foul any of the parts of the saw although the blade tilt control comes pretty close but there is a gap
