• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I got a can of this today as I seem to remember someone here saying it was quite good.
Anyone have experience?

Pete used it on his stick chair.

I'm using it on my bed. It produces a nice satin sheen, but it almost completely colourless. Great if you want that (as Pete did), not so good if you want a finish to warm the wood up a bit. I've put some BLO on my tall headboard slats today. I like the colour, but it has shown up a number of blemishes in the wood - I did not check my sanding close enough. So I think that my usual system of BLO followed by HWO will be just what I want (after I've resanded).

Yeah I’ve tried it a couple of times! It’s actually pretty decent for the price - smooth enough, not too heavy, and does the job. Curious what you think once you crack it open. Some folks here swear by it, others say it’s just “fine.” Where do you land?

It's available here, too, just rather more expensive.

But Denmark and France are both EU countries, strange, but I’ve got the impression that overheads are much greater in France so that might explain it?
