• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Are these the worlds' worst instructions ?

Can anyone explain this to me as I haven't got a clue and when I rang up Tech Support at Hudson Reed, they didn't either !

You cut the red wire. It's always the red wire. Just make sure that there are only 3 seconds left on the timer........

my interpretation .the boss fixed to concrete, hot and cold controlled elsewhere connected ,screeded and tiled round the boss and corked .stem and shower head assembled and screwed to boss.

That was also mine. Until I received the unit and it comes with normal tails !

Spoke to Technical. The drawings are out-of-date. I made a passing comment that it was a pity that their QA department didn't get its act together. He replied that it was a pity that they didn't speak English

Just taken delivery of a kitchen. There are NO instructions. Just bags of bits!

:D

Actually I did get quite a remarkable discount. The salesman I was negotiating with turned out to be leaving and so no skin off his nose. I didn't realise this at the time though...just thought I was playing the 'end of month' target game. All by email so full audit trail. When the time came to purchase and we went into the store and asked for him, only then id we find out that he had left. The young lady who then proceeded to enter our details into their sales quotation system came up with a much higher figure!

She blanched when I told her how much adrift she was. To be fair to them, they honoured the quoted price although they would have been within their rights not to.

Not a clue.

Three bits of chipboard...dimensions that don't fit anything else

God knows what these are for

They all came with the Under Oven Housing.

or these

A piece of paper telling me that they cocked up the pre-drilled fittings and I need to make new holes. Only the paper refers to a different part to that which I have.

All the pan drawers came with a bit of paper telling me to fit a 4th screw as they had cocked up (I inserted the last bit but they did). Only you need to be Houdini to get your arms into the backs of the cabinet to do this as the back of the drawers get in the way. Only 24 screws to do

Rather poor IMO

Had a junior Technical Author once write "press button for three seconds, then remove finger".

I told him we were having a run through the following day and did he want to pre-book A and E...

To be fair, I once mixed up the inside diameter and the outside diameter of a steel bush, so the guy on the lathe brought me a bag of steel swarf and told me he had followed the drawing EXACTLY.
Fortunately he was only winding me up.

"God knows what these are for". my guess packing so that the good bits do not damage each other during transport.
