• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I mentioned that I would send some pictures once I had put all my tools back and gave the workshop a bit of a once over. We'll see bellow it's not exactly home built apart from getting a new room and running lights and sockets in. But to start off with this was a stinky old farm building that was used by the neighbouring farmer to do farmy stuff in. It was damp and breezy but after the new roof and some sealing and heating it soon lost that cowpat smell and warmed and dried up enough to start putting it together. I used it for painting carving and turning so you will see the blue tarp hanging from the roof this is on a pulley system that let's me run it down to cut out on dust sticking to wet paintings. Also you might be interested in the slab I obtained from a music and folk festival when they were cutting a tree and demoing different traditional saws this however was chainsaw cut for me. It was heavy to get into the van and transport home it has since split as I did have a full round. Anyway hope you like my sanctuary. The third from last picture is some Spanish chestnut from a tree planted in 1703 these are off cuts from some branch removal. It's been seasoning for about 2 years now so ready to work with soon.

Thanks for posting those, Bryce. Nice to see an obviously used space, chock full with wood and tools. Some workshops look more like tool show rooms.
