• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. Hi all,

Though it's mostly out of stock, the CK-500S fine filter cartridge is available to click and collect at the Axminster and High Wycombe stores.

I've got the big 3hp SIP dust collector this fits it at c 490mm internal diameter. I picked up this cartridge for £137.86 instead of £209 as it appears Axi are refreshing their dust/chip collectors.

Quite a 'niche' thing I know but may be useful to someone on here!

I also got the Osborne EB3 mitre gauge (not on sale) shiny toys! :lol: :lol:

Good choice, I have had one of those for some years now and its a pleasure to use. It was not an easy thing to buy back then, I think I had to order mine from across the pond.

I got my nameless plastic-handled one in a £1 bargain bucket at Acton Square Hardware many moons ago. It does pretty much the exact same job, without looking quite so .......erm......pretty.

I doubt it will let you set angles quite as precisely as the EB3, but then your not a table saw user, so would not see the benefit of it anyway.

@Mike I'm sure that close enought is generally good enough, but I like shiny things and need all the help I can get! I still have more affinity with engineering/metalworking and their levels of accuracy/tolerances. Probably mistakenly I try to apply that to wood :lol:

It appears Axi are updating a number of things, their recent clamp sale was clearly to get rid of stock before a rebranding of heavy duty clamps to Trade and a change of colour to grey. The new catalogue seem to show a new range of planes as well.
