• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I built my face frame shaker kitchen about 5years ago and was allowed input into the colour. 'WE' went for a dark duck egg type of colour, I even got some car paint mixed to match and sprayed the fridge. For the last 4years 6months swmbo has said she doesnt like the color. The snagging list for 2025 has started and re painting the kitchen is on it in bold letters :)

I'm using the same paint, Mylands. It has done ok and endured some action. Is anyone clued up on brushes and rollers? The last time I splashed out on some picasso brushes and found them reasonable. Is a wool or sponge roller better for big bits.

I've painted a lot of kitchgen cabinets (for a DIYer) and really like the two fat blokes rollers. I also use Mylands and can get a superb finish with these good quality rollers.

I use the orange picasso brushes too. Excellent. They cut well and clean well.

I also would recommend the Two fussy bloke rollers. I've not come across those paint brushes before though - are they superior to Purdy which has been my go-to brush brand in recent years.

There are undoubtedly better, but I can't fault these for the money. The cheaper range is fine as well.

You recommended these ages ago, so I bought a set and they are excellent for the price.
