A little while ago I started to make a back plate for C5 chuck.
Started by making some studsI got fed up with moving one set to the ER32 chuck and as I needed to make a backplate for a 5c chuck which also needed a set of studs.
All the studs and the partially machined backplate

Holes being drilled and tapped ready for the next stage, except I managed to break the tap in one of the holes will try to remove it tomorrow I think I have a cobalt drill bit to see if I can get it out. If not I can always move the holes around a little still leaving room for the chuck mounting bolt holes

Ended up moving the holes around a little.
Fast-forward to today.
Spent the first part of today doing little bits and pieces on the Farm Boy no photos as making gaskets and other small finishing jobs.
Then this afternoon mounted the faceplate for the 5C collet holder as I had already started the mounting to the lathe side which I did post about quite a few days ago(OK weeks ago)
Onto the chuck mounting side I did have to turn the outer diameter with a boring bar and the lathe in reverse, it worked very well. Tomorrow I will get around to drilling and tapping the thread. I have marked the first hole position with a transfer punch, once drilled and tapped I will do the same to the remaining two holes.

Should get this finished tomorrow. Yes turning cast iron is easy, the downside as many will know it is a dirty job everything gets covered.
