Old Oak
I purchased an old wall clock from owners a few units away.
Wife passed away about a year ago after living in frail care for 2 years, he moved to frail care couple of months ago.
Daughter is clearing out the unit getting ready to sell, we collected huge pile of books for Son and I expressed an interest in the clock.
A bargain at ZAR250.
Looks like Oak, will only confirm when stripping and cleaning.
No makers name on the front.
I suspect it came from the UK where they both originated from many years ago.
It is wind up with set of chimes which will be disconnected (wife threw out the battery in the one I built - middle of night it went ding-dong-ding-dong the whole Westminster chimes
)
The refurb will only be start 2025 as I have a lot of other work to complete.
