• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

If you haven't had them plus a booster please get them as soon as possible.

R.I.P Jonathan Matthew Pascoe, my beautiful boy. 24/5/01 - 30/3/22. He refused to get vaccinated and died of complications from covid. Five days from being healthy to being dead.
 
No words adequate Phil - I cannot imagine what that must feel like for you and your wife.

Horrible news. my sympathies too.

My friends son is another anti vaxxer as is his other half. They both got the current variant and were lucky to just go through normal flu symptoms. I'd previously told them in no uncertain terms what i thought of them not vaccinating. now they think they were right just because they were lucky.

I'm up to date and had covid a few weeks ago and it was just a mild cold but i still get a tickle cough and not sure my taste is back fully. Scary to think things could have been so different.
 
That’s horrendous Phil, - parents shouldn’t have to bury their kids.

Terrible news Phil, I'm truly sorry to hear this.

Both my Wife and I have Covid at the moment. My Son and his GF are anti-vax and caught it a few days before us - its rife up here at the moment.

I've given up trying to get them to take the vaccine.
 
Phil, so sorry for your awful news. I've no words to add except to echo what everyone else has said. It does need shouting loud, Covid has not gone away and is not a trivial illness.

Phil, I'm shocked and saddened, as a father to three, not much older than your son.

I most sincerely hope that your message against anti-vaxers and ignorance is read and acted upon to save at least one other life somewhere else in this benighted isle.
