Thought i would share these trammels here as you guys would probably appreciate this (my wife and friends weren’t as impressed as i was ) Anyways, (background: i live in a city that has a large Boeing factory), a couple of years ago i was driving and saw signs for an Estate Sale pointing down the street. Of course the sale started at 8 or 9 AM and i was passing around 11 or so, but i figured i would stop by since just down a side street. I got to the house and a lady that appeared to be in her mid 50s seemed to be running the sale, so I asked her if she had any hand tools. She told me that most of the hand tools had already been sold, but there was a box with a few odds and ends left. I picked up this set and didn’t at first know what it was. Then i realized it was some custom trammels. Impressive work and made to be used wither one piece or you could screw them together to make about 94cm long. The lady caught me admiring them and walked over to me and said aren’t those cool? I said yeah these are very nice and obviously custom made. She then explained to me that her father who just passed, was a retired machinist for Boeing and made these to use at work. She saw that i appreciated the work and told me that i could have them for $1. Also sold me the 18” Starrett straight edge in the pic for $1.
