• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hello. Another ex-lurker here who's finally decided to come out of the closer, so to speak. Semi-retired chippie, mainly building refurbs, listeds, and so forth for a very long time.

Welcome aboard Phil.
you can come out of the closet too if you like;):)
Photos always welcome past projects and new. Do you tinker at home too?

Not really much of a photographer, Andy. At the mo' I don't really do much at home, either. Maybe because it's a bit of a "busman's holiday" for me? But I've always enjoyed my job, so as I transition into retirement I hope to set up a shed in the back garden and start doing some hobby woodwork - as opposed to paid woodwork.

Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to add photos? I just started a Flikr account and I haven't a clue on how to add pictures (mostly where I get the image URL from)

Here you go in the tips and tutorials board. Details will show how to host images here of via a third party. I think IMGR was used as an example , I can't imagine Flickr to be too different.

Hello from me too.

You can also drag photos directly from your desktop into your post, or use the paperclip attach button to select and import. Works well.

That method is also more reliable as the forum then hosts the images directly and there's less risk of them disappearing if something changes with flickr or imgur or whatever.

Welcome from me too.

And welcome from me too. It's always interesting to have someone with professional experience.

Welcome from me...you'll find it's the best job you've ever had, especially if you've got a 'shop (what are these 'shed' things?) in the back garden or garage - Rob

In our house the term "shed" is used a bit like the term "through deck cruiser" was in the navy...
