• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Full screen...lots of volume....

What format is it - won't work on my phone?

Rod

That's because it will look horrible on a tiny screen with tinny loudspeakers !!

At the risk of sounding like a right old curmudgeon, that was about the most boring bit of film I think I've ever seen! No daring stunts, no British flag smoke trails! Talk about missing the very thing the red arrows are famous for ie flying in amazing formation while doing interesting things!

For the next clip Roger maybe we should have the pilots asleep in their beds at night....synchronised snoring :-)

Don't get me wrong, not being unpatriotic, I think they're brilliant, just thought that failed to demonstrate their skill that's all.

I think you are missing the point of the video which was to focus on the Vulcan ...albeit in formation with the Red Arrows. There are plenty of videos of the Red Arrows performing if that is your interest.

I wouldn't knock the Vulcan as my Uncle is obsessed with them, as he worked on them when he was in the RAF. but if the point is to focus on the Vulcan why didn't they film the Vulcan from one of the Red Arrows? In the 6 mins plus of film there was about 10 seconds of footage recognisably of a Vulcan. The rest was the inside of the cockpit or looking out of the Vulcan at the Red Arrows. I think it is the film that has missed the point.

Terry.

Terry, that's the wrong way of looking at it, I think.

The film is about the Vulcan flying WITH the Red Arrows. Not the Red Arrows flying with the Vulcan. So the film is shot from the perspective of the Vulcan ie from within the cockpit primarily. At least that's my take.
