Late in the day during a recent weekend (after normal office hours) I sent an email to Cotswold Canal Trust admin, (we're supporters,) enquiring as to whether the Western support workshop could make use of a Metal Cutting Band Saw and a long reach bench Pillar Drill, if so it would need to be collected or supply assistance to help transport.
Not expecting a reply for a few days as messages would probably take a few days to find their way to the workshops and back.
07.30AM Monday, missed 'phone call from a mobile in a noisy working environment found its way onto the answering machine but was hard to decipher.
Less than a couple of hours later a further call enquiring which property it was sounded as though someone from the the workshop was looking at google maps to see which house it was.
Put the phone down and turned round to walk into another room only to see a Power Lift equipped truck backing up the drive.
I guess I had my answer.
An hour later found my Garage minus said equipment, some surplus metal stocks, spare blades etc. and a bit of spare space.
Today I received this image from CCT and a thank you message.

“Happy to say the saw is in almost daily use. We will set up the pillar drill in workshop when we have competed the work on big steel girders.
Please express our thanks.”
