Huepar 902CG Self-Levelling 360-Degree Cross Green Line Laser Level
Paid £67 for this delivered same day (to my rural location) in Amazon flash sale. Currently £99 on Amazon. It came last night and has had three hours use today setting out my floor plan.
Comes in fairly useless soft case. Sensible instructions, with 4AA batteries, receptor plate and mount, heavy duty (i.e. magnets work properly on an acro) magnetic level mount that fits to tripods of various thread sizes, and the unit itself.
Would describe as a light trade / DIY grade level. Compared with my 6-year-old De Walt, the latter is heavier duty, has thick rubberised protection, and is in a proper hard plastic case. So if you buy this, don’t drop it as I would expect the laser turrets to be vulnerable. That said turrets are vulnerable even on a heavier duty machine.
Obviously it doesn’t come with the tripod: I'm using a Giottos heavy duty carbon one here, but anything will do. You can hang the bracket from a nail if you want. Bracket is handy as it helps adjust the alignment.

1. Much brighter than my red DeWalt laser. Pictures were taken in daylight and with my large Festool LED work light on. Green laser remains visible. Red near invisible. Not tried it outside – but it’s a dull day today so both would work.
2. Spot on accurate.
3. 360 degree beam is brilliant – ideal for laying out tiling, timberwork, frames, pipes etc. The normal cross beam one is not much use for floor layouts, which is why I bought this green one.
4. It won’t turn off unless you lock the lasers. This is a good idea as it keeps the self-levelling mechanism safe from transit knocks by default.
5. Easy to lock off for angles and tilts.
6. Battery life seems fine. The more expensive ones have rechargeable batteries similar to an SLR camera, and for trade use I would want either that or a tool platform battery. However, large price premium for that.
7. Pulse mode for use with receptor plate or (extra £38 – electronic long distance electric receptor).
Not so likey
1. No micro adjustment. More pro tools have that, but in this case I can deal with it from the tripod.
2. Single push button scroll switch is a bit annoying, compared with De Walt, where each laser has it’s own switch.
3. Self-levelling range is quite small – I am guessing under 5 degrees each way. Noticeably less than the DeWalt in use. This just means you need to be more careful with set up. Tripod obviously takes care of it.
Overall
Very functional and simple. Total bargain. Better than I expected. Don’t drop it.
