• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Greetings from Surrey

I'm another new recruit who has been known to post elsewhere. I have been doing woodwork and metalwork off and on for more than fifty years. However, I have never had any training and my knowledge of both subjects is very uneven. In a way I think that is a good thing as there is much still to learn. I am interested in tool making and restoring, lutherie and cabinetwork. I am looking forward to joining in here.

Welcome to the party. They've not mentioned it but I will.

We love pictures !!

Can't wait to see what you're next tool is going to be, always very historically interesting!

Thanks to all for the kind welcomes. Yes, I shall post photos of my latest efforts when allowed (after my first three posts, I understand).

Yoohoo, hiya, how's you? Did you find us ok? What took you so long, did you get a puncture? still it's nice to see you could make it. Did you miss us?

I'm OK, thanks droogs. Yes, not hard to find you - I'm just not very dynamic. I did indeed miss you all but I was watching what was happening with a kind of horrified fascination :)

That's your three posts done... where are the pictures ;)

Welcome.
Thanks Scaredycat - I have started a WIP thread about making drawknives in the Hand Toolery section.
