• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi everybody,
I'm a relative newcomer to the woodwork world. Dad was a carpenter in the shipyards, so I rebelled and joined the ranks of metal butchery to become an engineer. Many, many years and several career changes later I have began to discover the the happiness of time in the workshop (still in it's embryonic stages) with wood, tools and machines, much to the amusement of the kids. Seems like I've been missing out all these years, still better late than never!
Anyway, thanks for having me and any advice will be greatly appreciated.

David

Hi David and welcome.

Look forward to seeing some of your metal butchery skills as well as joining on your wood appreciation journey...[emoji15][emoji23]

Wecome David, great place to be.

Another Northener, very nice area around Durham as well as the town and cathedral.

Hi David and wecome to the forum. There must be something in the air up north that is encouraging so many new members from that part of the uk at the moment.

Welcome aboard :)

I spent my working life with metalwork before taking up woodworking.

Welcome aboard, David.

Is there anyone there who wants to make the WH2 (South) sub-group?! :D
