• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Evening All. Having had a chat with another member from here, I've decided to join up too.

Some of you may recognise my name.

As for formal introductions: I try to make bits of furniture using hand tools as far as possible. I genuinely don't like using machines but am the first to admit that they can be incredibly useful on occasion.

All the best,

Andy.

Hello Andy. I'm really glad you've made it over here (at last!! :) ), and I'm sure you'll enjoy it in this somewhat gentler environment.

Ah, sorry Andy... but we're already well over the quota on handtool woodworkers over here...

Just kidding

It's good to see you come along, the more good people here the merrier! :)

Thank you all for the welcome!

There are so many familiar names that it already feels quite cosy.

First attempt at a reply seems to have failed, so here goes again:

Thank you all for the welcome.

There are so many familiar names that it is already beginning to feel quite cosy.

A very warm welcome Andy, lots of familiar faces here so no need to feel shy

Hi Andy, you're good to go. You need three posts and then we take the handcuffs off !

A warm welcome.
