• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hello Everyone,

First time posting, in fact on any forum :), and after some browsing it was time to get involved.

I have found the various workshop, and of course house builds very helpful and as I'm in the process of a new studio build myself and I thought it would be good to share. I work with wood professionally as a furniture conservator- restorer, running a business in London. About 4 years ago I built a small studio in the garden as a base for site projects and to have a workspace with an easy commute. Now I'm looking at building another one for the other half of the business (and life!), which will be for works of art, books paper and framing.

Great name you’ve got there.

Look forward to seeing some of your work and I imagine you will be able to help a lot of us here with the element that so many of us struggle with, finishing...!

Always happy to, dealing with gnarly old surfaces is a speciality and there's always a battle to make some material look like something else!

Welcome and you' find the time spent here is well spent, you won't just mark time you will get excellent advice and see some great projects
