• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

How do you know when you’re getting old?

Everything hurts!
What doesn’t hurt doesn’t work
The gleam in your eye is simply the sun shining on your bifocals
You feel like the morning after, but you haven’t been anywhere
Your children start to look middle-aged

You join the health club - but don’t go
A dripping tap causes an uncontrollable urge
You have all the answers but nobody asks you the questions

You turn the light out for economy instead of romance
You’re in a rocking chair but can’t make it go
Your knees buckle easily but your belt won’t
Your back goes out more than you do

Your house is too big but your medicine chest’s too small
You sink your teeth into a juicy steak and they just stay there!
Your birthday cake collapses from the weight of all the candles

Feels like a positive punch line is missing :)

I feel old but maybe not that old yet.

When you go more funerals than weddings in any one year ?

yep off to my 4th in a couple of weeks.

Spent about 20 mins last week trying to understand why I could not get the key out of the lock on the barn. Eventually realised that the release point was horizontal and not vertical :eusa-doh:

Yes this is a definite sign. :D

I do lots of things like this and the memory is ummmm... hmmm can't remember

I once thought I left my keys wherever it was, so I drove back hoping they were still going to be there, when they were in the ignition driving my bus all the time. :D

I made a cup of tea and then lost it... I eventually found it in the fridge :|

I've poured hot water in the sugar bowl.

I'm forever looking for things because I can't remember where I've put them. :x

But the best one for me was.............. hmmmm forgotten :eusa-think:

I am enjoying being the oldest I have ever been. :D

However I would lose my head if it was not fastened on fairly securely and frequently find myself wondering why did I come into this room?

Not helped by daughters who think I was a boy in the "olden days"!!!!!

Hah! I can still sit cross legged in front of the TV :D .........I just can't get up afterwards.

As Pres Reagan was quoted as saying, "getting old beats the hell out of the alternative".

Don't knock getting old. It's a privilege not granted to everyone.
