• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Still finding my way round the, new to me, iphone 5s on IOS 9.3.4

A number of websites that I use require passwords (and just for Rod! they wont all work with tapatalk so that is not an answer)
The phone seems to remember passwords in a list ( access protected by the finger print reader) but each time I visit a website I have to manually tell it to auto fill the password from that list and then even if I tick the box to l"og me in evertime time I visit", I still have to go through manual login next time even if it is minutes since the last visit. It seems like IOS9 is clearing password remembering cookies when you leave each site.

I've dug around in all the settings and so far have failed to find away to get it to behave sensibly.

Just to be clear these websites that give me the problem are not high security ones like banking just basic commercial ones who like to have a personal login, or where I have paid a subscription for greater priviledges and certain forums that don't support tapatalk.

Can anyone shed any light on this please??

TIA

Bob

Don't ask me! I'm new to iPhone, too.

I can't get Voice Memos to work. The red record button just wobbles and nothing happens!

I can't even see that as an option. Is it an app or part of the os? where is it located?

Bob

I think it's part one the OS. It's not a separate app. It was already on my desktop thingy.

Well I think I might have solved my password problem. I had set safari to private browsing thinking that would stop filling up memory with my history. But it appears it does more than that it erases cookies left by that site including the request to stay logged in.
Time will tell ie overnight if I've truely cracked it.

Well done. Still haven't cracked my Voice Memo issue.

A quick Google suggests you are not alone. No fixes given though :(

I have to confess that I don;t get on with iOS at all. I really don't find the user interface that intuitive and much prefer Android.

No idea where it was on my phone originally but it's now in a group entitled Utilities together with the Clock, iTorch, Compass, Calculator and a few others.
Works fine on mine - have you tried doing a backup, then deleting it from your phone and doing a reinstall?

I think we might have different OSs. My Apps just show up on the home scree. I can't find anywhere else to manage it.

If you press on an App it starts wiggling and has a X on it.
Press X and it deletes it ( but also gives a warning). Grab the wriggler and you can create groups of similar Apps by trying to place it over the ones you want to join up with.
It will create a title for the group that you can change if necessary.
I've got ones for News & Weather, Photography, Games, Travel, shopping, Restaurants, etc etc
It keeps the Home Screens tidy

And if you have a medical problem - I also have a RADAR key.
They used to have an App (paid for) which was dreadful and is no longer.
The majority of my family are ladies (of various ages) and their bladders are much more"weaker" than mine[emoji3].
