• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I would like to touch up the paint on Kity 619 does this exist or a close alternative can anyone suggest.
Thankyou

If the Kity green is similar to the Elektra Beckum green, the paint identifier is RAL 6011 (Reseda Green). I made a new lower cabinet section for my EB spindle moulder that has two drawers and locking casters. The paint I had mixed at the local hardware store is a perfect match for the original EB green.

If the RAL 6011 is not a match, you might find a better match with one of the other 6000-series colors:

I did know what it was back in the day but can't remember. I'll look when I get a chance in case it's saved but don't get your hopes up. What I'd suggest is that you remove one of the access panels and take it to a local paint supplier to colour match. They should be able to mix a small quantity or point you in the right direction.

Thankyou Bob, i am taking a panel in this coming Monday to a Dulux paint centre after work, i also had a look online and on ebay found this ebay-paint.click so tantalisingly close but to be fair its a picture. Realy its just small area's where paint has flacked its not the complete machine. Next issue is the state of the rise/fall guides i think for a smooth oppration they will need to hard chromed or what ever is needed but that will be a new thread i think.

I had the paint reference when we used to sell Kity but didn't keep it and that was a long time ago. I don't remember the guides having a chrome finish but that could just be my memory. What I did find in my archives however is a pdf of the 619 manual. If you don't have it and of any use just pm me your email address and I'll send it pronto Tony.

Tony, you say you want to "touch up" the paint, I think even an exact match won’t look anything other than what it is, suggest you repaint the whole thing- or maybe you aren’t that bothered and just want to protect it?
Ian

Do you have an ironmonger or paint co. that sells Flag paints? If so their green hammer finish (similar to old-style Hammerite) was pretty good on my 439. It wasn't perfect (greens are difficult as the eye is most sensitive to them), but it served for touch-ups. That said the whole thing really needs redoing now, so I'll probably go for that old faithful "random green", as I can't get Flag paints any more, and half a tin won't be enough.
