• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Charles Rennie Machintosh Argyle Chair
I made this a few days ago to break the monotony. I now keep seeing the same chair on TV sitcoms etc. I'm informed that it's in Dr Who and several other mainstream films.
I hadn't intended to keep it but it's growing on me.

They have a reputation for being uncomfortable but stylish in appearance. I can't really tell until it's upholstered, that can't be done until sanity returns.
If I were designing for a tea room as this was I would be looking for rapid turnover of customers so comfort needs to be limited, also in the last century people sat without lounging!

Very nice!
The idea of uncomfortable chairs is still used some fast food places, often referred to as 20 minute seats.

It looks like we're in the company of another excellent maker.

Very nice Mike. 8-)

You could always improvise and make yourself a new hat.

A bit like this innovative lady who made herself a protective face covering. :eusa-clap:

Mind you, her eyes are still exposed and on closer inspection, I think it has as much chance of protection as a ship has through a field of iceburgs.
