• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Members Map

Mulk, we have a Members Map. "Adding" just means a little red marker has been placed on the map at the location you have specified, in your case San Francisco Bay Area.

@9 So sorry, I did not consider that a rant. It was a little piece of me, to try to introduce myself.

Henceforth, I will try not to make any comments that have a wider significance than the narrow aspect of wood technology.

This will be difficult, as you probably will appreciate.

Frankly, I do not see how one can reveal themselves to their fellows without some political discourse. Especially these days, when our very survival is questionable.

Some of us are not simply dumb hammers.

Nevertheless, I will try my best to comply with this forum's guidelines.

Please help me in this compliance moving forward.

Thx Andy, I'll soon have to move it to Europe or south america.

I hope this reply does not contravene the terms of use of this forum…..

Thanks Andy, however, while not wishing to be too fussy, the pointer is now in the right place, but the text still shows the old location. :eusa-doh:

Sorry David, I really should have spotted that  . In my defence it is Google that fills in the location name based on the initial search criteria. I just picked up your "pin" and moved it. To correct it I had to delete, search on the new location then add your name.

All sorted and noted for next time.

Ralph, detail added to the map and welcome to the forum. if you have a moment why not tell us about the type of woodworking you do and of course if you have pictures feel free to share them us.

Hi Ian, and welcome to the forum. Sorry for the delay I have been on holiday and off line for a couple of weeks. Your details have now been added to the map

Hi - Just registered, pls add me to your map,

Kind regards,

Dan :eusa-pray:

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum. I've added you to the map. If you have a moment please tell us a little about the type of woodwork you do or interest you in our Welcome (Introductions) board.

Hi, Alex. I have already added your (see your Welcome post). No need to go for the full postcode - this is a public forum after all. I have added you just by the town name of Wythall.
A short PM exchange with any members wishing to pay a visit is best way to narrow down you location.

Dang, Alex - I lived in Bromsgrove until last May. You were just down the road!

New address is Alford, Lincolnshire.

Thanks Andy. Sadly, I didn't meet Skeggy's minimum requirements to live there. I'm not sure if it was my lack of a tiara or my lack of a UB40.

Northern Ireland's one and only :eusa-shifty:

If you can add nearest town or first half of your post code to your profile in the control panel it would help me adding details to the map.

thanks

Andy

I have been hanging about long enough, its probably time I got myself added to the map - Location says Totton - SO40 is the first half of the post code.

Thanks, Sid.
