Why not indeed! Where were the carriages built originally Vann? Old workshop technician at College born around 1910? Spent his working life building them in Leeds, just curious.

Carlisle, hit and miss depending upon which department but a safer bet than Shiethaven . I can say DO NOT go anywhere near the eye department in Carlisle as they are unfit for purpose, you end up in Sunderland where they are first class so just go straight there. We know of a couple who due to medical needs have moved back to Leeds just to get better care and away from Cumbrian NHS who just cannot seem to recruit.

I’m guessing that you mean Whitehaven. Fair enough if you’ve had a bad experience at the NHS facilities that happen to be there to call that out but there’s really no need to denigrate places that members may live or originate from IMO.

I have recurrent uveitis. Every time I have a flare up I go to Eye Casualty in the RVI in Newcastle. They too are first rate.
